Mayor of Zülpich visits innovative production at Launhardt
The family-run production company Launhardt has passed into the second generation since 2021. Founded by Erich Launhardt in 1997, the Launhardt brothers, Dr. Martin Launhardt and Christian Launhardt, the management in April 2021. Since then, in addition to the expansion of traditional production, the innovative industrial production of additive manufacturing, industrial 3D printing, has been established and massively expanded.
The location in the Zülpicher industrial area is characterized by good motorway connections and close contact with the city centre. The expansion of production will create more jobs in production as well as in engineering and administration.
In particular, the future-oriented technology of 3D printing allows an optimistic view of the future. In addition to the basic material for industrial 3D printing systems, Launhardt also offers the direct production of three-dimensional components. Even in times of great uncertainty and supply bottlenecks, 3D printing enables supply chains to be maintained. In this way, ongoing series production can be maintained and jobs can thus be secured.
Zülpich is an ideal location for expanding production and the Launhardt company is already in talks with the city about a possible site expansion in the Zülpich industrial area. In this context, it was with great pleasure that we welcomed the mayor of the city of Zülpich, Mr. Ulf Hürtgen, and the councilor and city treasurer, Mr. Ottmar Voigt, in May 2022.
