In the current global political environment, the issue of armaments is becoming increasingly relevant in Germany and Europe. This requires independent production of security-relevant components at both the national and European levels.
With industrial 3D printing, Launhardt makes a significant contribution to the production of small and medium-sized series without the need for costly tool production.
Selective laser sintering (SLS), in particular, enables the generation of high-strength additively manufactured components from a fine thermoplastic powder. This type of industrial 3D printing enables the cost-effective production of application components in large quantities. The complete melting and solidification of the plastic melt enables the very high mechanical properties.
Thanks to intensive research and development, we can draw on highly customized and application-specific materials. For example:
