3D printing enables the production of individual, and especially complex, components that would be impossible with conventional processes. This creates the basis for cost-effective manufacturing in industrial 3D printing. Powder-based 3D printing also enables the efficient mass production of such customized components.

How long does it take to produce THIS 3D printed part?
This is a frequently asked question, and while interesting, it doesn't directly apply to powder-based additive manufacturing processes (Powder Bed Fusion, PBF). Here, the question only makes sense when you assume higher quantities.
How much does 3D printing cost?
List of 3D printing costs
Launhardt's powder-based 3D printing is so automated for series production that the cost-effectiveness of production depends largely on the component size and quantity. If you have a component measuring 30 x 20 x 14 mm and need 20 of it, it will cost approximately €45; however, if you need 5,000 of this part, the unit price will be approximately €0.34.

However, this calculation is only possible thanks to the uncompromisingly efficient series production of 3D printing. Launhardt relies on efficient software, work steps, and system technology to ensure that the components to be manufactured come into contact with people as little as possible, and the base material—the SLS powder—no contact at all. This reduces contamination of the work environment and the powder material itself. This, in turn, significantly increases process stability.

Additive manufacturing / 3D printing
Using additive manufacturing, components with the most complex structures can be produced directly from CAD data. Selective laser sintering (LS or SLS), in particular, makes it possible to economically produce small and very small series beyond prototypes using direct manufacturing, without the expense of expensive tooling required for injection molding. We also offer innovative and customized LS powders such as TPU and PP.
