3D-printed earplugs and holders
Not only earmolds and hearing protection that are individually adapted to the respective ear canal, but also the cord holders required for them can be manufactured economically, with high quality and in large quantities using industrial 3D printing.
One example of this is the cord holder for hearing protection as personal protective equipment (PPE) in industrial plants, newly designed by Launhardt. This required the construction of an adapted geometry with a defined pull-out force and could be implemented in a very reproducible and visually appealing geometry over a few iteration steps.
